Pigeon Island is one of two marine parks located in Sri Lanka. There are two distinct islands – Large Pigeon Island and Small Pigeon Island – that are home to a range of protected marine life. You will also find Coral reefs with over 300 coral reef fish species, sharks, and sea turtles.

Although sprawling with rare and endemic marine life, the islands were once used as a shooting range during the Second World War.
