Discover the times when the earth’s giants eat, drink, play, and act. These adorable creatures go between two national parks in search of food and water. So, on the day of your safari, we will transport you to the best-suited national park (Minneriya or Kaudulla) based on the information we collected the previous two days. If you travel during the gathering season (July to September), we can guarantee that you will see more than 100 elephants throughout this trip. Occasionally, you may be fortunate enough to see up to 400 elephants. This adventure will also provide you with the opportunity to see a variety of different animal species.
Overview
Kaudulla national park is one of the best places in Sri Lanka to see wild elephants. It is located right next to the Minneriya national park and elephant herds migrate between the two parks frequently, in search of water. Kaudulla national park is a vital eco system belonging to a series of adjoining protected areas in the Mahaweli river basin.
