Itinerary

Welcome to Sri Lanka, the "Pearl of the Indian Ocean"! Upon arrival at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be greeted by your private chauffeur guide and escorted to your hotel in Negombo, a seaside town around 20 minutes away from the airport. The rest of the day is at your leisure or head out to explore the town. The lagoon here is famous for its lobsters, crabs, and prawns. Fish auctions regularly take place on the beach (and are worth experiencing). Architecture buffs may appreciate the old Dutch and Portuguese Colonial buildings. And strolling along the area's many canals is a treat. Visit Negombo Fish market is situated at the northern end of a lagoon renowned for lobsters, crabs and prawns. Weave through stalls piled with shark, squid, barracuda and unheard of sea creatures as the sellers call out their wares, and get a great insight into local commerce.

Take a boat ride to discover the water wildlife on the Muthurajawela Marsh.

The marsh is notable for its unique and highly diverse ecosystem and is listed as one of 12 priority wetlands in Sri Lanka. It provide a home to some 75 bird species, as well as crocodiles, monkeys and even some very rarely seen otters. Absorb the tranquillity, glide around mangroves and inlets, and learn about the fragile ecosystem. Watch for herons, water monitors, birds and even crocodiles, and either before or after your boat ride, choose to visit a fishing village for a glimpse of local life.

In the Evening you can enjoy Negombo Beach ,Negombo Beach is an attraction that lures in tourists from all over the world. It is a cluster of smaller beaches, each stunning and mesmerizing. It is a popular coastal destination in Western Sri Lanka. The beach has a very long stretch that make it suitable for long walks while enjoying the gorgeous palm trees.

Negombo Beach is famous for its luscious golden sands, turquoise blue water and gorgeous palm trees. The beach is very close to the fishing village of Negombo and boasts of being the most popular seaside resort in Negombo. Negombo is famous for it’s water sports, Banana & Tube Boating, K Surfing, Fishing & Deep sea fishing are few among the popular list. Wine down, take a walk on the beach and witness the most beautiful clear sunset in Indian ocean.

After breakfast at hotel proceed to Habarana, you will have a Jeep safari in Minneriya National Park Minneriya National Park, which is part of the elephant corridor that connects Kaudulla and Wasgamuwa National Parks, provides visitors with the opportunity to see elephant herds all year. May to October is the best period to visit Minneriya National Park in view of the world-famous Great Elephant Gathering of the Asian wild elephants. , check in to the hotel and have a rest before your afternoon jeep safari, home to a diverse range of wildlife including elephants, leopards, wild buffalo, sambar deer, musk deer, black bears, macaques, jackals and a numerous variety of birds. The park is renowned as the best park in the world to observe and shoot pictures of leopards.

Day 3 :
Habarana

In the morning, start with a visit to the Landmark of Sri Lanka, the "Lion Rock". It's the 5th-century legendary sky citadel and is said to be the most impressive site in this country. The story behind the monument and the panoramic view of Dambulla seen on the top is definitely worth the steep climb requested.
In the afternoon, continue your exploration in the rural village of Sigiriya. Travel into the lush Sri Lankan countryside by a jeep or a tuk-tuk, alongside paddy fields and rural vegetable plantations. At dusk, get on a catamaran and sail to the other side of a lake, enjoying the fantastic sunset view, and looking out for birds, butterflies, as well as the villagers fishing or washing clothes at the periphery of the lake. After that you will appreciate a vivid and traditional Cultural Dance show in Hanarana.

Today You can experience Morning safari in Wasgamuwa National park . Wasgamuwa National Park Safari is a thrilling experience that promises you the sights of the majestic Sri Lankan Elephants in their natural habitat. Journey inside the park as you ride along Sri Lanka's longest river, the Mahaweli River in search of the gentle giants.

The centre of the attraction is herds of elephants up to 150. The best time to enjoy the sight of large herds is during November to May. In the rest of the year the elephants tend to migrate to nearby Minneriya and Kaudulla national Parks.

Other wildlife includes Purple faced langur monkeys, wild boar, sambar and spotted deer, buffalo and rarely sighted leopards and sloth bears.

Birdlife at Wasgamuwa National Park Of the 143 species of birds reported at Wasgamuwa National +Park (Wasgomuwa) are endemic Red-faced malkoha and Ceylon jungle fowl are common sight in the park. Among the bird populations are Sri Lanka Trogon, racquet tailed drongo, endemic yellow fronted barbet, endemic Sri Lanka spurfowl, white necked stork and lesser adjutant stork.

Then head for Ceylon's old capital of Kandyen route stop at one of the interesting spice gardens where you can learn a wide range of spices. A 15-minute complimentary Ayurveda Massage is recommended.

visit the Royal Botanical Garden of Peradeniya where you will be immersed in the sea of 300+ varieties of orchids, spices, medicinal plants, and palm trees.

The afternoon You can explore the city with your chauffer, like walking around Kandy Lake in the city centre or going some shopping in the downtown markets. Then walk to the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic nearby. This is Sri Lanka's most sacred Buddhist shrine; the Puja Ritual held in the temple with all the fanfare, drums, trumpets, and brightly colored Monks is showing you how special and spiritually important the temple means to Sri Lanka. you will appreciate a vivid and traditional Kandyan Cultural Dance.

After breakfast, set off for Nuwara Eliya by train (subjected to availability), a picturesque 4-hour journey packed with beautiful mountains, waterfalls, and tea plantations.

Enjoy a scenic ride of about 3 hours through some of the most beautiful highland countryside areas in Sri Lanka. See the vast green hills of the tea plantations and spot the picturesque villages with misty mountain backdrops. Enjoy the amazing sights of intimidating mountains, deep and dark woodlands, and magnificent waterfalls as they go by your window.

Arrive at Nanuoya where your guide will meet you at the station, which has been serving Nuwara Eliya for over a century. After you stretch your legs a little, your guide will take you to Nuwara Eliya. Enjoy the thrilling half-hour drive up the winding road. Enjoy walking through the streets with their pretty little cottages, quaint villas, and beautiful mansions. Thereafter at approximately enjoy lunch at a restaurant of your choice at your own expense. Afterwards, your guide will show you the most important sights of the town, including Lake Gregory. See the timeless post office and take the opportunity to buy a few as souvenirs. Then head to Kithulgala and checking to the hotel

The Makandawa Forest Reserve in Kitulgala (195 Ha) was established to protect the watershed of the Kelani River and is home to many of Sri Lanka’s endemic fauna & flora. This area is also famous for its adventure activities including rafting on Grade 3 and 4 rapids down the Kelani River and jungle treks or mountain bike rides through jungle-clad hills and plantations growing low-country tea and rubber.

Second to Sinharaja, the Kitulgala forest reserve would be the ideal rainforest habitat to spot most of the lowland endemic species of birds including the Green-bill Coucal, Chestnut-backed Owlet, Red-faced Mal koha, Sri Lanka Spot-winged Thrush, Grey Hornbill, Sri Lanka Spur fowl, Ceylon Jungle fowl and Yellow-fronted Barbet. The newly discovered Serendip Scoops Owl wasalso first heard in this forest. Plenty of insect repellent and anti-leech socks, if you have a pair, are useful to wear when entering the forest. Mammal species found here include the Grizzled Indian Squirrel, Layard’s Striped Squirrel andthe Purple-faced Leaf Monkey. The streams hold endemic fish and many species of amphibians. The Earless Lizard, Kangaroo Lizard and the Hump-nosed Lizard are among the reptile species and are frequently seen in the foliage along the Kelani River. Today you will be picked up from the hotel and transferred to Colombo (approx. 1.5 hours by road). You will visit Turtle Hatchery en-rounte. Upon arrival in Colombo, take a guided city tour to explore Colombo's colonial legacies covering the Independence Square, Gangarama Temple of Colombo, the mile-long promenade of Galle Face Green, and Colombo's National Museum, etc. Take photo stops when passing by the former British Administrative Center, etc. Overnight in Colombo.
